......The antiquarian bookshop was founded in December 1993 by librarian Stanislav Jordán.
The ideological co-founder was the visual artist and poet Frantisek Samota. He chose the pseudonym Samota as early as 1977 out of a need to separate the perception of his professional and civilian life. In 1996 it was adopted into the name of the antiquarian bookshop. The name does not translate. In all world languages it is written and read Samota.
